Patience

**Welcome to Phat Bottom**

We are a small, passionate company based in Sturgis, South Dakota, known primarily for our fiery and flavorful hot sauce. Alongside our delicious creations, we take great pride in our beloved truck, Patience. This is the tale of how we acquired her and the challenges we have faced in keeping her running.

About four years ago, Leonard, Katera's brother, stumbled upon an intriguing ad on Craigslist for a vehicle that caught his attention. He proposed a unique partnership: he would finance the purchase, and my responsibility would be to retrieve the vehicle, restore it, and ultimately sell it. However, as soon as we laid eyes on this charming wooden truck, our hearts were captured—it was the perfect embodiment of what we needed to promote our brand.

This truck, though old and worn, had character and a story to tell. With some dedicated elbow grease, we set to work bringing her back to life. We meticulously sanded down the weathered wood and applied a beautiful finish that honored her vintage charm. To transform her into a mobile kitchen, we installed a countertop and a sink, complete with a small water tank and waste storage.

As we embarked on this exciting journey, we began exploring various locations to sell our food while simultaneously crafting our menu. This phase of our venture was particularly memorable for me—I found myself indulging in Katera's creations far too often, leading to a delightful but unexpected weight gain, all in the name of quality control!
